I thought some of you would like to see what was possible with the slingbox and how applicable it is to real life situation.
Here I am using a combination of a laptop (with a radeon 9600 Mobility TV-out graphics card)
Keyspan remote control £15.00
A cheap sony monitor I picked up second hand for £15.00
Some speakers i already had for my ipod.
With this setup, it was possible to synthesis a real life tv whilst I work, and the quality is surpisingly good. Alot of my university friends asked how much Ii paid to set this all up and were shocked when I said close to £270.00 - but i reminded them that
1.) I didnt have to pay for a new TV
2.) I dont have to pay for TV license
3.) Most of the technology to do this I already had. The only thing that had cost a lot was the slingbox (because I had to import it)
