Setting the physical slingbox up and connecting the wires with very little knowledge was quite simple, the diagram was well layed out which increased the speed of putting it all together.
Setting up the slingbox with your home network wasnt quite the breeze as first implied when reading through the slingcommunity forums. Unfortunatly my router wasnt supported by the slingbox, fortunately I had the exact same make and model router as the one they used in their setup diagrams, so I switched them over and the slingbox detected and installed fine but be wary of this before purchasing, you 'might' need to spring for a new router in the process.
I wanted the slingbox to work with my SKY Digital box (i was unsure if it would work with it as my box was the first generation of skyboxes and ive not upgraded since). From the box, I was able to view sky tv (one channel) which was surprising as I thought there might be a conflict with the NTSC and PAL standards, fortunatly there wasnt!
